Daily lessons in truth are little tidbits to focus on that you can think about during the day to help you realize who you are or why you are really here. They are brief but significant spiritual truths that have great deep meaning for our souls. You can attempt to master them to find a deeper meaning in your life and how you serve others, how you share knowledge, or how to love more deeply.
Today’s thought is spiritual truth #15.
Affectation is the ridiculous effort of the ignorant to appear wise, the attempt of the barren soul to appear rich.
We should all realize in what way we are rich. It has nothing to do with money or items. Those objects are fine to have but whether you possess them or not really has nothing to do with you happiness, the joy that you feel in your life.
There is a higher power and it is through this power that we feel connected and rich.
As I write this post as of the middle of September, I am fairly certain that most people are not thinking about the tax return deadline or the last day to file taxes. No dear reader, you are not. But we whom like to plan are always, well, planning. We cannot help it. It is our nature.
If you are a small business owner this may not be relevant for you as you may have to pay taxes quarterly. If that if the case, planning just might be even more important to you. Most people don’t plan for their tax deadlines the way they should. Most fall into two camps; either they owe money or they have money coming back to them. Which one do you fall into?
Some think that getting a tax return is a forced savings plan or found money. Others dread lending money to the government at zero interest but times have changed and ZIRP (Zero Interest Rate Policy) or even NIRP (Negative Interest Rate Policy) are the norm. But for most of us there are no benefits to that policy. Some like to make adjustments to their withholding taxes to come as close as possible to deductions equaling required taxes.
Our plan here at The 12 Month Plan is to reduce our income and live off of gains. Get thee an army of golden slaves so to speak. By saving a part of all we earn only the future benefits of that income is taxed again. Although it now takes a savvy financial planner to keep us from paying to much.
However you prefer your taxes to be done, we suggest giving some forethought to the process so that you don’t caught owing a great sum when the bill comes due. Leave a comment below and tell us what you prefer and how you handle this situation.
If you asked 100 people if they had written goals you would probably get an unrealistic response to your question. Many would say that they have written goals but actually don’t. Why is that? Perhaps because they know that they should but they just haven’t done it yet or they may be procrastinators. I believe it’s because we all know that we should have them written down, we just don’t.
I am not here to belittle anyone who doesn’t have their goals written down. My goal is to help anyone who has an interest in achieving what they really want out of life no matter what it is. The first step is to merely acknowledge that you want more out of life. We all do. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t. No matter what that desire may be you must take steps to get to that place or possess that object you desire.
Goals are just dreams with plans. So dream big and put them down on paper. Put the paper in your wallet or purse and be ready to show it to someone when they ask you if you have written your goals down. I can see the gigantic smile on your face and you pull it out and actually show it to them. Even the person who asks the question may be surprised to find someone who not only has them written down but has them with them, probably all the time. Wow!
Part of our success here at the12monthplan.com is to help as many people as possible live a better life. The real first part of achieving any goal is to know what you want that goal to be. What is the outcome that you desire? If you write it down and look at it every day your mind will do miraculous things to make that dream a reality. So now is the time to get started.
Below are instructions on getting your goals written down. Don’t get hung up on the particular details. If there is something you want write it down. For example, I want to lose 30 pounds or I want to have $100,000.00 in my bank account in 12 months, write it down. Don’t be afraid to dream big. “If you want to launch big ships, you have to go where the water is deep.”
When you are finished put a timeline beside each goal of when you want that goal to become a reality. Now read that goal every day and spend some quiet time focusing on how you are going to achieve that goal. Now your mind will start to act creatively to make that goal come to fruition. You will begin to find energy and ideas to make it happen and you have to follow through on those actions. You must act.
Write your number one goal your would like to accomplish here in the comments section. Let’s work on them together.
